Insect story

Insects are the dominant life-form on earth. Millions may exist in a single acre of land. About one million species have been described, and there may be as many as ten times that many yet to be identified. Of all creatures on earth, insects are the main consumers of plants. They also play a major role in the breakdown of plant and animal material and constitute a major food source for many other animals.
Insects are extraordinarily adaptable creatures, having evolved to live successfully in most environments on earth, including deserts and the Antarctic. The only place where insects are not commonly found is the oceans. If they are not physically equipped to live in a stressful environment, insects have adopted behaviors to avoid such stresses. Insects possess an amazing diversity in size, form, and behavior.
It is believed that insects are so successful because they have a protective shell or exoskeleton, they are small, and they can fly. Their small size and ability to fly permits escape from enemies and dispersal to new environments. Because they are small they require only small amounts of food and can exist in very small niches or spaces. In addition, insects can produce large numbers of offspring relatively quickly. Insect populations also possess considerable genetic diversity and a great potential for adaptation to different or changing environments. This makes them an especially formidable pest of crops, able to adapt to new plant varieties as they are developed or rapidly becoming resistant to insecticides.
Insects are directly beneficial to humans by producing honey, silk, wax, and other products. Indirectly, they are important as pollinators of crops, natural enemies of pests, scavengers, and food for other creatures. At the same time, insects are major pests of humans and domesticated animals because they destroy crops and vector diseases. In reality, less than one percent of insect species are pests, and only a few hundred of these are consistently a problem. In the context of agriculture, an insect is a pest if its presence or damage results in an economically important loss.
Some insect species have a single generation per season (univoltine), while others may have several (multivoltine). The striped cucumber beetle, for example, overwinters as an adult, emerges in the spring, and lays eggs near the roots of young cucurbit plants. The eggs hatch, producing larvae that emerge as adults later in the summer. These adults overwinter to start the cycle again the next year. In contrast, egg parasitoids like Trichogramma overwinter as immatures within the egg of their host. During the summer they may have several generations.
Insects adapt to many types of environmental conditions during their seasonal cycle. To survive the harsh winters, cucumber beetles enter a dormant state. While in this dormant state, metabolic activity is minimal and no reproduction or growth occurs. Dormancy can also occur at other times of the year when conditions may be stressful for the insect.
It is often better to consider insects as populations rather than individuals, especially within the context of an agroecosystem. Populations have attributes such as density (number per unit area), age distribution (proportion in each life stage), and birth and death rates.

The beginning of space

In the beginning was energy. There was no light or darkness. There was no matter, no movement. There was no space to contain light or darkness or shapes of any kind. The universe was contained in a primordial phenomenon of raw, unshaped energy.

Then came the form: grava. Grava provided the shape and chronology for the expression of energy. Grava could not exist without energy. Energy could not be expressed without grava. Grava was both the container and the vessel for the expression of energy.

Grava is a single, continuous, super-field that contains and mediates all energy, mass, space and time in the entire universe. The four-dimensional envelope of space and time is an extension of grava.

The primary orientation of each unit of energy is to occupy all space and obtain an infinite amount of mass – all in one moment of time. It attempts to be everywhere now. Grava controls this orientation by enforcing the established rules, forms and the infrastructure to support the expression of energy.

The actual steps taken in the determination of the structure and the rules neither were not elegant, purposeful nor premeditated. A very simple program of events was sequentially executed as the nature of energy required with the incidental outcome of discrete quanta in the field of grava and a number of rules and constants that were necessary for the quanta to coexist in the same field of grava – the universe.

The basic events were: first the energy, second the field of grava, third the structure including rules and constants. A different prime quantum of energy would have resulted in different rules and constants. Once the first subdivided quantum of movable energy was established, however, the negotiation process was ended.

Since there was no time or space to begin with, the subdivision of unshaped energy consisted of establishing space-time entities for each new unit of energy. Each unit of energy was endowed with six dimensions: the energy quantum, mass, time and the three dimensions of space.

The enforcement of the rules includes the process of relegating certain unstable events to a status of isolation called subgrava. The universal field of grava supports these events, but do not have the property of continuity with space and time. Many subgrava events are very short-lived, such as emerging mass-less quanta of energy.

A black hole is an example of a larger subgrava event. Grava isolates the tremendous amount of potential energy of the black hole in a subgrava status in order to maintain the integrity of the continuous three-dimensional universe that surrounds it. Grava ushers a significant amount of resources to support the black hole. The energy is not isolated from grava, but the space-time vectors within the subgrava pocket are sealed off from the external system.

Today, we know a lot more about the nuts and bolts of matter than was known by the Greeks. However, the rigor of discovering the nuts and bolts and analyzing their properties and functions may lead us away from looking at the basic entities themselves.

Golden Gate Bridge History

The Golden Gate Bridge links San Francisco with Marin County in absolute splendor. The bridge is one of the architectural marvels of the Twentieth Century and a testament to human strife, as it was constructed during the years of the Great Depression. Today, the Golden Gate Bridge held the title as the longest suspension bridge in the world.

Construction began on 5 January 1933.The project cost more than $35 million. Before its completion in 1937, the bridge was considered impossible to build, due to persistently foggy weather, 60-mile-per-hour winds, and strong ocean currents, which whipped through a deep canyon below. In fact, the bridge is commonly known as the "Bridge that couldn't be built." Despite these unforgiving natural elements, the bridge was constructed in a little more than four years. The total cost was $35 million. The total length of the bridge spans 1.2 miles. Eleven men lost their lives during the construction of the bridge.

Before the bridge was built, the only practical short route between San Francisco and what is now Marin country was by boat across a section of San Francisco Bay. Ferry service began as early as 1820, with regularly scheduled service beginning in the 1840s for purposes of transporting water to San Francisco. The Sausalito Land and Ferry Company service launched in 1868, which eventually became the Golden gate ferry company, a Southern Pacific Railroad subsidiary, the largest ferry operation in the world by the late 1920s

Because of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco is one of the premier skyline cities in the nation. It was a triumphant day in the history of the city when the bridge was completed on May 27, 1937. Over 200,000 people celebrated the grand opening of the Golden Gate Bridge by walking its length. The following day, a dedication ceremony was held to officially christen what would become the architectural trademark of the city. The regular flow of vehicular traffic began the next day.

Many wanted to build a bridge to connect San Francisco to Marin County. San Francisco was the largest American city still served primarily by ferry boats. Because it did not have a permanent link with communities around the bay, the city’s growth rate was below the national average. Many experts said that a bridge couldn’t be built across the 6,700 ft (2,042 m) strait. It had strong, swirling tides and currents, with water 335 ft (102 m) in depth at the center of the channel, and almost constant winds of 60 mph (97 km/h). Experts said that ferocious winds and blinding fogs would prevent construction and operation.

The bridge opening celebration began on 27 May1937 and lasted for one week. The day before vehicle traffic was allowed, 200,000 people crossed by foot and roller skate. On opening day, Mayor Anglo Rossi and other officials rode the ferry to Marin, then crossed the bridge in a motorcade past three ceremonial "barriers", the last a blockade of beauty queens who required Joseph Strauss to present the bridge to the Highway District before allowing him to pass. An official song, "Theres a silver moon on the golden gate ", was chosen to commemorate the event. Strauss wrote a poem that is now on the Golden Gate Bridge entitled "The Mighty Task is Done". The next day, President Roosevelt pushed a button in Washington DC signaling the official start of vehicle traffic over the Bridge at noon. When the celebration got out of hand, the SFPD had a small riot in the uptown Polk Gulch area. Weeks of civil and cultural activities called "the Fiesta" followed. A statue of Strauss was moved in 1955 to a site near the bridge.

How to change class from low class and middle class to high class.

Write by Kawin Jimveerabunyong
Topic: How to change class from low class and middle class to high class.
Book reference:
-Rich dad Poor dad Cash flow quadrants by Robert Kiyosagi,
-Why we want you to be rich by Robert T. Kiyosaki and Donald J. Trump.

In current world, everything changes quickly some groups of people can adept and some groups of people can’t. Some a business author call this age is global paradox. This time people can communicate with peoples around the world by use a little time because of technology make everything different from 20 years ago.

Today, many people work hard but they‘re not rich because they lack of knowledge and experience about money management.

The gap between the rich and poor has grown in the past 20 years in the developing countries. And the government is suggesting that we educate our children so they will grow as responsible grown-ups and hopefully will be financially stable.

The problem is we educate our children to be specialized employees but not financially literate. Then the gap continues to grow and the have-nots will blame corruption. Then a revolution will break out because they can't take it anymore. Chaos sets in then the rich will see opportunities in times of war. And the poor do not. Then the cycle goes on. The gap grows and grows even farther.

From rich dad, poor dad book: Many people spend your life working for money and to pretend that money was not important. Robert T. Kiyosaki’s rich dad believed that life was more important than money, but money was important for supporting life. He often said, "You only have so many hours in a day and you can only work so hard. Learn to have money and people work hard for you, and you can be free to do the things that are important." For example:
1. Having lots of time to raise his kids.
2. Having money to donate to charities and projects he supported.
3. Bringing jobs and financial stability to the community.
4. Having time and money to take care of his health.
5. Being able to travel the world with his family.

If someone wants to rich, the first thing they should change is attitude.

We can separate 4 types of all segment of job that indicate what different between rich people and poor people.

In the employee part, you will spend the much time per day; spend much day per month to work. Income from this employee part is enough for you to pay your living price. If you stop work, income will stop too. There are a little number of peoples from this part are rich such as CEO from some big companies.

In self-employed part, some of this part gets much income but some of this part was not success. This self-employed part can’t stop work too. They must spend most of time in their life to take care their job. Self-employed has income equal or higher than employee. There are a little number of self-employed can gain much income such as Hollywood superstar, singer or sportsman.

In business owner part, there were 20% of peoples in the world. They can become rich because they have own system to help to take care their business, so they have much free time to make other business. For example: apartment owner, company shareholder.

In investor part, they are highest income in all part. They have many systems to control their business. They have free time to make other businesses to increase their income such as companies’ shareholders, franchise owner or real estate owner.

Business owner and investor have something make them different from employee and self-employed is system called cashflow. Cash flow makes have Business owner and investor high income and free time.

Cashflow example:
-Company shareholder (Prefer share)
-Real estate owner (for rental)
-Franchise owner

If you want to become rich and change to high class group you must start making your cashflow.

The source of American language

The first genuine Americanisms were undoubtedly words borrowed bodily from the Indian dialects words indicating natural objects that had no counterparts in England.

For example word “opossum” in the form of opasum, in Captain John Smith’s “Map of Virginia” (1612), and, in the form of “apossoun”, in a Virginia document two years older. The word is borrowed from the Algonquin musa, and must have become familiar to the Pilgrim Fathers soon after their landing in 1620

In addition to the names of natural objects, the early colonists, of course, took over a great many Indian place-names, and a number of words to designate Indian relations and artificial objects in Indian use.

In the beginning of the eighteenth century, new words were made during the period by translating Indian terms.

For example: war-path, war-paint, pale-face, big-chief, medicine-man, pipe-of-peace and fire-water. The total number of such borrowings, direct and indirect, was a good deal larger than now appears, for with the disappearance of the red man the use of loan-words from his dialects has decreased. In our own time such words as: papoose, sachem, tepee, wigwam and wampum have begun to drop out of everyday use

From the very earliest days of English colonization the language of the colonists also received accretions from the languages of the other colonizing nations.

Leonardo da Vinci story

Leonardo da Vinci, the famous artist, was born in April 15, 1452. He born as the illegitimate son ( or we can call bastard son) of a notary, Piero da Vinci, and a peasant woman, were unmarried name Caterina, in the small Tucson town of Anchiano, near Vinci the region of Florence. Leonardo was educated in the studio of the renowned Florentine painter.

When his age of 15, Leonardo had already mastered skills in the fine arts and the young man was sent to Florence to work as an apprentice in the renowned workshop of Andrea del Verrocchio. He worked with del Verrocchio until 1477. During which time del Verrocchio had been commissioned for a painting that would be “The Baptism of Christ”.

From video I think Leonardo da Vinci wasn’t ordinary artist. He always interested in something different from other artist from studio. He was a kind of guy who focus on goal but he didn’t consider method to create his art for example:

· When there was punishment in public, the government stuff hangs a prisoner on the top of building. He was an only one who draw picture of hangman. He was freak.

· When he want to draw baby picture. He boughs someone baby got naked and draw detail of baby’s body. He didn’t care baby will cold or not even the baby crying so much until baby’s mother came to yell him.

· When he wants to learn about human body he went to hospital and perform an autopsy. It’s very extreme method.

But some Leonardo learning is normal such as: He study to draw a detail of horse by looking horse all the time or how to study to draw detail of light and shadow by saw from the real thing.
All these method to make the new art and unique art style is the essential skill that made him become a successful artist that world ever know.

Amazing grace

The lyrics are based on his reflections on an Old Testament text he was preparing to preach on, adding his perspective about his own conversion while on his slave ship, the Greyhound, in 1748.

The author of the lyrics to Amazing Grace name John Newton was born in London July 24, 1725, the son of a commander of a merchant ship which sailed the Mediterranean. He was captain of slave ship in 1744.

Newton's lyrics have become a favourite for Christians, largely because the hymn vividly and briefly sums up the doctrine of divine grace. The lyrics are based on 1 Chonicles 17:16-17, a prayer of King David in which he marvels at God's choosing him and his house. Newton apparently wrote this for use in a sermon he preached on this passage on New Year's Day 1773

The song has also become known as a favorite with supporters of freedom and human right, both Christian and non-Christian, in part because many assume it to be Newton's testimony about his slave trading past.

Since its creation in 1779 in England, "Amazing Grace" has grown in popularity to become one of the best-known musical works in the world. This Web site explores its history through items from the collections of the Library of Congress from the earliest printing of the song to various performances of it on sound recordings.

This song tells the passion and pain of African slave. The listeners feel sympathy African slave when listen it.

Introductory essay

Personal

My name is Kawin Jiamveerabunyong and my nickname is Boat. In my family, there are five peoples, my father, my mother, my big brother his old name was Vigorn and now he change his name Pumate because fortune – teller told him to change his name to match his fortune and his nickname is Bank, my little brother his name is Kirkwith and his nickname is Best and I. In this year 2008, I will become 25 years old. We all three bother born in the same month particular my big brother he born in the same day with me. Our birthday was November 23, mine birth year is 1983 and my brother is 1980. My parent can save money for celebrate our birthday because they celebrate once a year by includes three bothers in one day. It’s boring (goddamn it).

Social

I born and lived in Thailand. I live in Bangkok. My grandparents were move from China to Thailand. Both father and mother born and lived in Thailand, so I become Thai citizen but my nationality is still Chinese but I can’t speak Chinese language because there are a little number of people use Chinese language in Thailand. In the past, China was a hardcore communism and they were not communicating with other countries and on that time China was the worst country. Chinese government took my entire ancestor’s real estate and force people too much. Many peoples die from staving. It was a cause that my grandparents decided to against fate and moved to find new destiny and they succeed by find the fortune land name Thailand. In the Thai history, the exoduses of Chinese peoples have only a pillow and a map from the beginning. Native Thai people treat them like shit. They work hard and find opportunity to run their own business. Today, Thailand is a development and high technology country because of Chinese peoples. But Thailand can’t be better and it will more bad because Thai government has not enough potential to manage country. Every Thai Prime ministers were corruption. They try to find the chance to corrupting national budget. Thai economic today is hopeless. Unless my parent run apartment business and run only jewelry, our family business will ruin forever. In Thailand, there are many pointless and stupid rules and laws to force people I must follow it in a long time. For the example,
- In kindergartens, primary, junior high, high school and university, students must were uniform, all Thai parents must lost their money every year and uniform are not appropriate with weather. In Thailand, weather hot all year.
- Every Monday until Friday about 8 o’clock morning all students begin with kindergarten until high school must have meeting, stand in line, separate level and class on the field and sing the Thai nation anthem and pray to Buddha (some school must sing king anthem and school song). It looks like communist process for brainwashes people.
- When Thai men become 21 years old. Government has law to force them to join military about 5 years. Soldier was a worst job in my country because it was dangerous and low-income career. If some man is not join military, he will has guilty and government will punish him by put him in jail. But there is method to avoid it. When I was high school student, there is a subject for male student to study and training in military they are called soldier student. They must study in military camp in town one day per every week in high school all 3 years. In the last year of high school, all soldier students must go to camp in Countryside Mountain training one week.
- When you watch a movie, there is king anthem song before movie start all audiences must stand up until the king anthem song end there ia this song all movie.

Professional

My parents are business owner. There are two parts business they run now.
First, they run jewelry business for 30 years until now. This business made profit for our family a long time ago before economic crisis in U.S.A. President Bill Clinton time (about year 1998). Thai money decease value from 25 baht (Thai money) = 1 dollar become 50 baht = 1 dollar. Gold price become double and there are no customers want to buy jewelry anymore because their business ruined from this economic crisis effect. But economy in Thailand was recovery. Everything become better until event 911, terrorists highjack airplane hit world trade center. It was George W. Bush is U.S.A. president, Economic in Thailand become madness again and we know later that Osma Binladen was the leader of terrorist group. I hate you Binladen. But it wasn’t the last chaos. After America made wars with Afghanistan. They connect wars with Iraq because George W. Bush condemned Saddam Hudson the Iraq leader that hided nuclear. This event made OPEC raised oil price. It made gold price increase everyday (I hate you George W. Bush).
Second business is apartment business, now we have four apartments, one will open soon and two areas ready to build. If we finish build apartment, we will have seven apartments. In that time we will rich (of debts) but we don’t worry because this business income will payback debt by itself. My parents have idea to run apartment business because they read the book name “Rich dad Poor dad” wrote by Robert Kiyosaki. But we have not complete management system to take care apartments. My brothers and I are take care it now. When I come in America, my family business lack of work force. My family waits me to graduate master degree and comeback home quickly. I can predict that when I graduate from here I must work hard everyday. (Oh! My God)

Universal

Before I came to America I graduate bachelor’s degree from Bangkok University International College. After I graduate I study English language 3 months. When I arrived in America I started study in Berkeley English Academy 8 months. I practice my English language skill by watch television everyday. I like to watch American series program in CW bay area channel such as two and half man, George Lopez, Will and Grace, King of Queen, Simpson, Family guy and South park. Monday there is Gossip girl, Wednesday there is American next top model, Thursday there is Smallville and Supernatural and Friday there is WWE Smackdown. All series program help me improve my English language skill a lot. Now I study in Lincoln University. I study in program M.B.A. Before I started MBA program I study intensive English with Dr. Bill Hyman. I study a lot of English language from him. He was the good teacher. I have a plan that when I graduate master degree from here I will return to my country and work in my family business and I want to study doctorate degree in Thailand. When I graduate doctorate degree I will become Dr. Kawin.
